Longing for A Pendant Necklace

May 15, 2012 1:02:57 PM CDT

The Long Pendant necklace is a key accessory in the world of jewels and accessorizing. The long pendant necklace can do wonders for many an outfit and a variety of body types. We find that it is a great necklace to throw on with a long sweater or a dress, effortlessly breaking it up while adding a little zest to your outfit. It’s also a great necklace style to layer with other chains, giving you a tool to create a cool nonchalant accessorized layered look.  We understand women have their go to necklace length given their chest size, body’s frame or general preference, but the long pendant necklace is definitely one  to consider if you've never have gone there. This is a necklace style that can work for many body types and can really have an outfit transforming effect. Kara Ross does great long pendant necklaces, her latest creations are the Kara Ross Hooked Fish Pendant Necklaces, cute, sophisticated, and fun; as is the Kara Ross Dragon Claw Necklace although a little less cute and a bit more fierce and fun. Looking for a sleek and simple piece with a pop of color the Tre Glass Pendant necklaces, come in a few cool colors that offers just enough color to enhance that simple outfit  whether casual or dressy. If you are a silver fanatic, the Blingy Buddha Long Necklace offers two necklaces in one, one side of the Buddha pendant is set with Swarovski Crystals and rubies, the other side is a sweet shiny Silver buddha. And of course, if you are craving something that is absolutely one of a kind, our Cocotay Vintage Amethyst Necklace or Subversive Jewelry Ceramic Coin Necklace are great options, and you can be sure no one else will have these. But any way you go, you can style your necklaces so your look and outfit is truly unique to you. Happy Styling!

The Right to Bare Arms & Layer Up

May 10, 2012 4:37:52 PM CDT

Tis the season--- to start showing more skin, bare those arms, necks and legs! We get excited, because this means we can layer up with more jewels.  While we work the jewels all year long, it’s definitely a bit easier to stack away with bracelets and cuffs when there is no competition from the sleeves.

Everyone has their own method for decorating their arms, and we say the more creative you get the more fabulous. We love to throw on a wrap bracelet with a cuff or two or even three! A few wraps we are currently obsessed with is our ever popular Pame DesignsSilver Leatherette as well as the Rawhide & Brass Wrap from Nettie Kent. The Nettie Kent Wrap works great with her Cyclades Cuff or get creative and work it with a few Pame Aspen Pave Bangles. New to the wrap category is Deepa Gurnani’s Skinny Pebbles Wrap, a cute organic and playful wrist wrap. It’s neutral enough to work with any metal that you add to your wrist.

Seeking that sleek bold look for your wrists, well you have got to see the new cuffs from Oblik Atelier—absolutely divine. As always, Mia Hebib, the designer behind Oblik Atelier, blurs the line between art and fashion with her new Gold Cuffs. Both the Gold Double Folded Cuff and the Buckle Up Cuff define the term wearable Art…

No matter your arm candy fancy preference, just do a search for bracelets, cuffs or wraps and surely you can find something to spruce up your collection of wrist jewels and those bare arms!

Costume Ball Gala -Met 2012

May 9, 2012 2:16:23 PM CDT

The Met Gala 2012 was another chance to get a glimpse at the stars glammed out in fabulous frocks and jewels. Known to many as the Fashion Oscars, the Costume Institute Gala is a great event to get a glance at the latest and greatest in fashion, as well as a peek at some of the most styled and photographed women in the world looking their best. Yes most of us don't live in that world, but it can be inspirational and just plain old girly fun. And please, a girl can dream! As many of us have weddings and cocktail parties to attend this Spring and Summer, while we may not have stylists and top designers at our disposal, we want to look our best as we walk down that aisle or into that party. So maybe you loved the metallic dresses or feather dresses that were prevalent, or even want to try one of the the lacey numbers, all are fabulous options but can be tricky to accessorize.

If going for the metallic Gold dress, select jewelry that has color in it,  such as a pair of colorful stone earrings along with a cocktail ring, like Isharya's Nile Nymph earrings or Mia Lara's Pink Chalcedony Earrings which offer subtle yet sweet color to compliment the metallic. With the metallic dress be strategic  and don't over accessorize as your metallic dress is definitely the main event.  Did you find a dress with a feather accent, we love how Diane Kruger wore her loose fitting feather trimmed dress with a long pendant necklace, so casually elegant, and word on the street is Diane doesn't work with a stylist...so a+ to her! Our Kara Ross Dragon Claw Necklace would work for this look.   Kate Bosworth worked her feather frock with a bold pair of earrings and diamond bracelets, check out our  Rodrigo Otazu Freedom Earrings for the same look. So maybe you went out and bought that new dress, but then again you  probably realized all the great ones hanging out in your closet that can be updated with accessories. So go ahead, get inspired and see what you can play with to create your own red carpet look.

Lady Like Fashion Jewels

April 30, 2012 10:23:52 PM CDT

Sometimes it's nice to just dress and feel like a lady. Lady-like style can be so sweet,  feminine, elegant and down right liberating. While we fight the feminine element in many aspects of our life,  raised to be strong minded independent women, let's face it's empowering to work that uber powerful feminine side. Jewelry is definitely a key tool to accessing and highlighting our feminine side. Don't be scared to work it! A necklace like the Kathryn Tassel Necklace designed with 18kt Vemeil - quartz and navy goldstone is an elegant feminine lariat that can definitely get the job done. This necklace is from Amanda Rudey a jewelry designer known for creating feminine and sweet designs. Vintage pieces are also great for channeling your lady like essence, Cocotay Vintage offers many sweet one of a kind reinvented vintage pieces. The Vintage Amethyst Flower Necklace is a great option. Splash of Neon

April 27, 2012 11:03:03 AM CDT

By now we all know that Neon is big for this Spring and Summer. It's a sassy and whimsical trend that is fun to play with, but can also strike fear in the most seasoned fashionista. I know I am intrigued, but I fear for looking like a Neon Sign walking down the street. That's why jewelry is a great way to bring the perfect touch of Neon into your look without going overboard or getting thrown overboard. Because honestly how many times will you wear those neon green skinny jeans or neon yellow dress. Beyond the number of wears you get out of that neon dress, neon isn't kind or flattering to many skin tones. Our Neon Necklace from Ben-Amun pulls together three playful neon colors into one lightweight necklace and can spice up that t-shirt and jeans. Ben-Amun's Neon Swirl Bangle is also super cool and easy to wear. For something a little more subtle, Kelacala Q's Recoletta Necklace or Salta Bracelet, bring in elements of neon without knocking you over the head. Great options that can work for a range of looks and outfits. Try a little neon by way of accessorizing and don't worry about blinding your friends, loved ones or pets.

With awards season reaching its pinnacle moment with this week's Oscars event, the fashion and style community is buzzing with ideas, tips and trends from the famous fashionistas attending these red carpet affairs. Whether you're spending a day casually browsing stores, heading to a meeting or getting ready for a night on the town of your own, you can work in plenty of the jewelry trends from the gala events for virtually any look -- no gorgeous gown required. The three key trends seen during the awards season were choker necklaces, statement cuffs and of course, plenty of beautiful crystals. Take a cue from top starlets and work Rodrigo Otazu's Sodalite Swarovski Necklace, which can be worn with work attire, nightlife pieces or anything you've got that's dressier. To tap the season's statement cuff trend, check out Deepa Gurnani or Isharya, who each have statement styles that won't break the bank. When it comes to sparkle, we've got plenty of fabulous crystal pieces. Courtney Lee Collection's Taylor or Sarah Swarovski earrings are perfect -- no Oscar statue or Golden Globe required!

Valentine's Day Styling

February 9, 2012 1:40:25 PM CST

Love is in the air every February as Valentine's Day nears. Who doesn't love a holiday that celebrates the heart, not to mention chocolate, flowers and gifts? Chances are you'll be heading out with a beau, or with the girls to find one if you're single. Either way, jewelry can make a statement for you. In fact, a bold piece might just catch the eye of a current or prospective suitor! If you're cooking dinner for him at home, stick to anything that's not on the fingers or wrists -- a great pair of earrings, a eye-catching necklace, etc. It doesn't mean you've got to go ultra casual with your outfit -- you can always do a pretty, easy dress and let the jewelry tie it all together. If you and he are hitting a night out, you can get a little more creative. Work a bunch of pieces on your arms, fingers, ears and neck to create a dramatic look, or just pair something dynamic with your dress. A pop color can be especially great for this. Single ladies, if you're hitting the town for a girls' night out, put on plenty of sparkle, sparkle, sparkle. Shimmer and shine, diamonds or other gems are your key. After all, you won't just look amazing but feel great too! For great jewelry pieces for Valentine's Day check out our curated selection for the celebration here.

Love Through Jewelry

February 2, 2012 4:59:17 PM CST

Jewelry has long been used as a form of showing love or adoration. In fact, gift-giving of gems, baubles and other jewelry items dates back 400,000 years. Now that's timeless! It's not a surprise, as everyone -- men, women and children - can wear and enjoy jewelry of all kinds. Gemstones themselves have their own unique meanings and purposes in expressing love. The diamond, of course, is notorious for standing as a form of affection, but just about every stone you can think of has a symbolism to offer. Just the same, metals are often a token of feelings and relationships. Silver is known for being pure, platinum for being durable. Of course, who can't love gold for all its many reasons? This Valentine's Day, no matter what you choose, you're sure to say how you feel perfectly. Whether its trendy or chic, gold or silver, stones or without, there's something for everyone you love. For great ideas, check out our Valentine's Day selection -- don't forget to use our special discount code, AAVAL for 15% off!

Planning Your Bridal Jewelry And Accessories

January 17, 2012 5:32:13 PM CST

With the start of a new year brings another popular season: Weddings, and a lot of them! While your big day may be months away (a whopping 10% or more of the weddings each year happen during the spring and summer), chances are you're doing all of your planning now. When it comes to jewelry styling, the key is to build around the dress you've got on. As a rule, a statement dress with beading, lace, and other detail or trim will often call for more simple jewelry to allow the dress to stand out. A gorgeous pair of earrings and a bracelet or ring should do the trick -- don't be afraid to play with a little color, or go with something chic and pared down. If you're gown is something simple, go a little bolder with the gems you add in. A dynamic necklace, cool cocktail ring, or earrings will be perfect to tie your look together as you walk down the aisle. While you may not think you can work in something creative, you absolutely can. We have an incredible array of jewelry options on our bridal page, or you can tap our Personal Shopper service for stylist help.

Jewelry Trends For 2012 Resort

January 5, 2012 4:41:18 PM CST

With the holiday season behind us, the focus is onto fashion of a lighter, brighter fare as resort season rolls in. Chances are you've likely noticed the collections popping up in stores, or even shopping a few for a winter getaway to somewhere warm. To get the scoop on what's in store for this soft, sweet season, we tapped none other than Accessory Artists' creative director and founder Marcy Roth, who scouts the shows, designers and trends in our favorite arena: jewelry. Resort this season is full of bold, pop colors both on their own and worked into prints. Orange and cobalt blue are everywhere in collections, but you'll see a return of bright pink, yellow and other tones that permeated spring and summer last year. This of course in addition to crisp, bright white which is likely going to be the color to wear for 2012. New hues that you'll see include oceanic tones in blues and greens for both colors and accessories. Now, onto the jewelry. What to pair with resort collections ranges from bold metals to bright stones, so be ready to experiment. The look is much more crisp and simple -- but big and dynamic. Nettie Kent's brass necklace is a perfect example, or any pieces from Ben Amun. The clean lines and statement style are the perfect mix to anchor all of resort's equally large color. If your wardrobe is mostly neutrals that doesn't mean you can't play with the season's color trends -- just add in something like Vanessa Mooney's Where the Boys Are bracelets. Fun, colorful, pretty!

New Year's Eve Style: Glam and Chic

December 27, 2011 6:05:13 PM CST

It's almost time to ring in the new year! Chances are you've already unwrapped all of your holiday gifts and are winding down for the season. What a perfect time for a brand new calendar of 365 fresh days. If you're going to be celebrating with a bit of a glamorous touch, be it a chic dinner with friends at home or a high style rooftop party, the trend for the season is again sparkle and shine. Sequins are everywhere for the occasion -- skirts, dresses, tops, jackets, shoes. You name it. What's great about the trend appearing a second time around is that there is an abundance of creative, cool pieces from mixed metallic sequins to palettes and more. Sequins are a classic in the wardrobe -- long after this year's run as the 'it' item for holiday, you'll find yourself pulling your piece out again and again for everything from parties to events. Accessory Artists creative director and founder Marcy Roth put together a great look playing on the trend. First, she picked a fun skirt with bold palettes in a shimmery tone, which she's topped with a sleek black (and warm!) top with a bit of shoulder detail. A luxe pair of sky high black pumps brings it all together -- if you're staying more low key or aren't a heel kind of girl, just slip yourself into a chic black flat. For jewelry, Marcy pulled Lee Angel's Swirl Chandelier earring in gorgeous gold. She then worked in something a bit dynamic and unexpected -- Adriana Carador's bold and fun Tutti Fruity ring. A perfect topper for a perfect year! Cold weather ladies, just add a pair of black opaque tights and you'll be toasty warm -- and stylish -- to welcome 2012 no matter where you're at.

Jewelry Styling for Ringing In The New Year

December 22, 2011 1:32:20 PM CST

New Year celebrations can range from the ultra chic party atop a skyscraper in the city to a gorgeous dinner with family & friends, to a beachside paradise complete with sarongs, or a simple, quiet night at home with a beau and an amazing glass of champagne. No matter how you'll be welcoming in 2012, if there's one thing that will last long after the coming year is an exquisite & timeless piece of jewelry to mark the occasion. No matter what you're wearing a pair of earrings, fabulous ring or bold, dynamic necklace any option will add just the right spark to the fete. For those of you lucky enough to take that annual trip to a resort paradise, snap up one of Kara Ross' bright, beautiful Hexagon Bangle bracelets -- or a couple, as they look as good stacked together as they do stand alone. If you're doing a cozy night at home with a loved one, add a little extra sparkle to the night without a lot of fuss with a pretty pair of earrings. We recommend any pair by Jessica Fields. If the night calls for a swanky dinner with family or friends, you'll want to go with a great ring. Kim Lyons' black Druzy ring is a perfect fit to stand out-- and it's on sale! If you're the host and cooking, skip a ring and go with a necklace. Kelacala Q's brassy collar is easy and will get plenty of wear all year. Of course if you're a gal that'll be out on the town, the cuff is it for the season. We recommend any of Linda Wright's unique vintage pieces. The dark leather and pop of silver will top any dress you'll wear. Grab two and you'll be more than ready.

Great Gifts For Every Woman's Style

December 6, 2011 5:36:08 PM CST

While most fashion advice centers on the basics, most women are anything but! You've got your classic girls, who love cardigans, clean lines and minimal detail. There are those who love a little flair -- a touch of lace, a bit of trim, etc. There's the trend setter, who is always cutting edge, or those who love a feminine and romantic twist with a lot of lace, ruffles and floral prints. Some women have a penchant for vintage. And of course, the casual one who is most comfortable in jeans and cozy hoodie. Style is as individual as people themselves. If that makes you nervous about what to buy, fear not! Shopping by style actually makes gifting and giving much easier, whether it's the holiday or not. For classic style, Amali's Candy Drop pendant necklace is the perfect topper to all of the pared down pieces in her closet. Or, either of Mia Lara's studs will do the trick -- not to mention add a pop of color. The trendsetter loves to make a statement with something interesting and unexpected. Kim Lyon's Black Druzy Rings tap two hot trends of the season -- big, bold cocktail pieces with inky black stones. A woman who loves a little detail to what she wears will absolutely adore Amanda Rudey's Dew Drop earrings or Jackie Stone's Owl ring (which comes in two different types of metals to fit her wardrobe). Romantic and feminine fashionistas will love Cocotay's entire collection. For the casual style woman, something unique -- and effortless -- is key. We recommend Dewi Designs' leaf necklace, which is so simple yet adds an element to even the most casual of outfits, or Kelacala Q's Kama Sutra necklace. So easy and so fun! We've got an entire category dedicated to the woman who loves vintage pieces. Linda Wright's Belt Buckle cuff bracelets are truly one of a kind made from vintage pieces, or Big Vintage's DeMaria earrings -- either would be great under the mistletoe!

Holiday Style: Holiday Party

December 1, 2011 2:44:21 PM CST

The next few weeks won't just be about wrapping gifts, baking, cooking and decorating, but also a myriad of events, gatherings and get togethers ranging from services, celebrations, family meals and of course, work and school related events. Dressing the part doesn't need to be complicated or take up a lot of time. Mapping out what you will wear to the various things you'll be attending in advance can really help ease some of the holiday time stress. When it comes to holiday parties that require a bit of dress up, a sweet statement dress can add an instant - and EFFORTLESS - style element without much work. A bold color & a bit of well placed detail will turn a basic dress or top into a fashion item, and give you a polished look with ease. The key to creating a finished look with your outfit is to add accessories, and the best accessory is jewelry. We tapped none other than Accessory Artists' creative director and founder, Marcy Roth, for ideas. Marcy picked a gorgeous red dress with bow and ribbon detail that both makes a stylish stance and is still fun, flirty and feminine -- perfect for the holiday. She paired it with Adriana Carador's chic and cool Green Leaf bracelet, which adds a festive contrast with 18K Gold and a hint of green gems. Next she worked in Courtney Lee Collection's elegant Alexis earrings. The copper and brown tones and graceful design bring in a pretty twist. It's all finished with a great pair of heels that also have a hint of flair. Not only will this look carry you through virtually any dressy event this holiday, but its individual pieces can be worked again and again all year!

If there is one universal trend among the entire holiday season is sparkle and shine. Regardless of which holiday you celebrate, there's an element of twinkle and light, from candles to Christmas lights, and of course, plenty of wrapping paper and other decorations. Which is exactly why so many of us love to give and get (and wear!) gorgeous jewelry and gems with an element of a sparkle and shine that suits your style. Nothing matches the dazzle of an exquisite piece of jewelry! As far as we're concerned, you can never have too much bling when it comes to ringing in the holidays. You'll get plenty of that and more with Courtney Lee Collection's vivacious Erica bracelet, which doesn't just combine a rows of glimmering gold link chains but mixes in strands of beautiful, bright turquoise Swarovski crystals. Alex Stein's Full Moon Earrings come in three different bold faceted semi-precious stone options sure to add a splash of color to any winter outfit, while Sally Kay's stunning one of a kind 18kt Gold Rock Crystal TV ring is as smashing and fabulous as it gets! No matter which bauble you choose, there's something for everyone and no better time to add a little sparkle and shine to your holiday look or gifts.

Styling Thanksgiving

November 22, 2011 4:24:27 PM CST

With Thanksgiving just a few days away, we've all been juggling holiday and menu plans. But of course there's always the issue of how to dress. Whether it's a meal at home, at relatives or you're on the road, it's an occasion that merits dressing up a little. One of the best ways to pull it off with ease? Jewelry, of course! In fact, adding in even one great piece can transform even the most casual of looks. If you're hosting and cooking and need your style to be no-fuss, a big bold necklace or statement earring is your go-to. This item can work with virtually anything, be it jeans and a cozy sweater or if your plans call for something a bit dressier. Ben-Amun's large link necklace is perfect for this, or if you'd like an earring almost any pair from Isharya will do. Not only will adorning your neck or ears make a statement, but it'll keep your hands and wrists free as you cook. For those of you who will be attending fetes, remember less is always more. Pair a simple sweater and jeans with a great, bold ring or a chic statement cuff. You'll find plenty of choices on our Collections page to pair with almost any look. For those who might be traveling, keep jewelry easy with a dynamic pair of stud earrings or a great ring -- Mia Lara's stunning collection will not steer you wrong. Most of all, enjoy the fun!

Let's face it. We'd all love to spend hours in our closets playing with our clothes. But then reality -- work, life, kids, etc. -- sets in and suddenly, figuring out what to wear needs to be as easy as possible. One of the key ways to juggle style and a busy schedule is to have a signature jewelry collection to wear everyday. These are go-to pieces that you can wear with virtually anything, whether it's yoga pants and a tee or a business suit. The great news is that there is virtually something for every woman, every fashion need, every taste and every style. To get an idea of how to bring it all together, we tapped none other than Accessory Artists' creative director and founder Marcy Roth for tips. If you've got a classic set of pearls, Marcy suggests mixing them with a vintage necklace to liven the look. Top with simple earrings and/or a ring to let the necklace make the statement. On the flip side, you can always do the bold earrings and ring look, forgoing a necklace and bracelets. Either look can work with virtually any outfit. If you find yourself wearing a lot of open necklines but a long chain isn't your taste, you can layer a few delicate, short pendant necklaces, or do a single bold piece with stud earrings. One style tip that'll keep you on trend and looking fresh this season? Mixed metals. Marcy advises to play with different elements to create an easy, no-fuss day time look that is certain to set a style. Need help with picking your daytime signature pieces? Visit our Personal Shopper page for how we can help!

Unique, Interesting, And Unexpected Rings

November 8, 2011 5:22:48 PM CST

For years now the ring has mostly been seen in a classic cocktail form, the larger the better. Without question, this timeless ring classic is a must have in every wardrobe, regardless of your style. But a new crop of chic, updated ring looks are taking center stage this season -- and rightfully so! You'll find it hard not to fall in love with just one. Unexpected twists and takes on gold and silver is one you won't want to go without. Nettie Kay's Slice Sand and Naxos ring are both delectable (and easy!) options. Just throw on your normal wardrobe as if you're wearing a timeless piece. The unexpected detail of the ring will make a statement no matter what you've got on. Stacking rings are another hot item for the season. We've got a few fantastic options. Kelacala Q's Linx ring set takes it up a notch by also playing on a second trend, mixed metals. You'll see style setters wearing more than one set on a hand for a bold, dramatic look but if that's not your thing, slip one or all on a single finger and you'll be set. Be sure to check out Yayoi Forest's set for a funky, fun vibe. Speaking of mixed materials, we've got a few ring pieces that tap the trend and will give you tons of wear long after Fall is over. Oblik's It Takes Two ring was a favorite pick by Vogue magazine editors this fall while the designer's Interlock ring brings in unexpected wood with metal. Everybody will ask where you got it!

Favorite Edgy Pieces

November 3, 2011 11:29:54 AM CDT

Fall fashions are stronger, tougher this season -- structure, bold colors, color block, leathers. It's not a surprise that jewelry designers have followed suit. We've been talking about what jewelry to work with all of the season's apparel splendor, but clothes and shoes are not the only items playing on the edgy trend. There are plenty of jewelry pieces that tap the look too! Vanessa Mooney's chic Tassle earrings are a fabulous mix of bold and chic, while you'll snap up three hot looks in one (leather, fringe, and mixed materials) with Nettie Kent's cool Fringe set. The designer's Rawhide bracelet, available in Silver or Brass with gorgeous black leather adds a drop of attitude to any outfit. Virtually any of Isharya's big, bold rings will give the look, or grab one of Ana Cavalheiro's options. For necklaces, try Pam Sweeney, whose combination of materials (including luxurious leather!) will without a doubt put Fall's hottest look in your hands as easy as 1-2-3.

Styling The Season's Hot Trend: Black Stones

November 1, 2011 4:00:54 PM CDT

One of fall's hottest trends is something we spotted a few months ago -- black stones. It provides the perfect subtle twist to work with all of the season's other elements -- leather, cozy knits, silk, and of course, sky high heels (or simple flats, if you rather). To style this decadent gemstone hue, we tapped none other than Accessory Artists' founder and creative director, who has helped fabulous fashionable women from celebrities to debutantes to every day girls like us find (and wear!) the perfect gems and baubles. "What's great about black diamonds or black spinel is that they're cool and casual enough for day or night, but also offer subtle glimmer," Marcy shares. "And they're versatile enough to work with other stones or pieces if you want to do a dramatic, layered look." For black spinel, Marcy suggests Sally Kay's versatile knockout necklace, which she suggests wrapping or layering with a complimentary pendant -- go bold for a pop, or keep it subtle. What's great about this unique piece is that it can be worn so many ways! Wrap it three times for a short necklace, wear it long or even as a bracelet. So many options! For a tiny touch of the trend, Amali's Midnight Cascade earrings dust Blue Topaz with black Garnet - so sweet and simple. For those who feel diamonds are a girl's best friend (and who does not?!), there's a inky dark option here, too -- Yayoi Forest's Diamond pave earrings. You won't want to take them off!

Two NEW Designers!

October 28, 2011 4:42:59 PM CDT

There's nothing quite like finding new and unique jewelry collections to feature and carry here at our online store. It takes us across the country to jewelry shows, to studios throughout New York and Los Angeles, to receiving samples. It's true love. This past week we've added not one but two great designers, both who are sure to bring delight and style to our incredible customers. The first is the talented Nettie Kent, who was raised nurtured of her creative talents and was painting before she could talk. That evolved into a beautiful talent for metal work and sculpture, which now shapes her jewelry collection -- you will absolutely adore. Our second great new designer is the timeless Zariin, which combines a fashion-forward elegance with unique and interesting details. Founded by two sisters and featuring a range of beautiful necklaces and earrings, the eclectic pieces are sure to turn heads in your wardrobe. You may not be able to resist buying just one!

Viva La Vintage

October 25, 2011 2:48:32 PM CDT

One of the chicest way to get great style is to borrow from the past with vintage, and there's no easier (or effortless!) place to do so than vintage. We carry a fun and fashionable array of time-honored pieces that will add a fashionable twist to just about any outfit. If you're on the hunt for great cuffs, Linda Wright is without a doubt a favorite. Made of vintage belt buckles and sleek black leather, they're the kind of piece you can wear again and again. Glam earrings are never out of style and we've got plenty to choose from as well. Just about any pair from Cocotay will take a cue from history -- and give you fantastic style today. If necklaces are more your forte, Kerry McBride's Glassy Lariat is just gorgeous. Wear it so many different ways! For those who want to make a statement, Big Vintage's dynamic, creative pieces are sure to turn heads. You can view our entire vintage collection here.

October 20, 2011 3:30:10 PM CDT

We here at Accessory Artists love great fashion magazines and we're more than honored to see editors at our favorite magazines checking out our gorgeous jewelry collections here! This past month, we've popped up in some of the chicest publications in fashion, from Vogue to Redbook, and now none other than Glamour magazine. Glamour's great editors included Courtney Lee Collection's awesome Blake earrings in a fun, fantastic (and fashionable!) round up inspired by style setter Rachel Bilson's chic look. The outfit pairs none other than the season's hot trend of colored pants in fire engine red with two other fall "it" items, the print blouse and leopard heels -- all seen on Rachel herself! It's topped with the Blake earring, which combines simplicity and style in a dangling chain link. Whether you sport Rachel's signature style or work the earrings with your own outfit, you'll be sure to steal the show.

Introducing Deepa Gurnani

October 11, 2011 5:11:59 PM CDT

There is something so romantic about love. It's passion, ingenuity, fresh, beautiful. There's something that's even more romantic than a husband and wife creating jewelry. That's the exact story behind our latest new designer, Deepa Gurnani, which was created by a husband and wife team. Deepa studied at the Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in London, a prestigious school that gave her the foundation to later work with major designers ranging from Alexander McQueen, Emanuel Ungaro, Fendi and more. Her husband, Jay Lakhani, had attended the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York as a jewelry designer, and always dreamed of creating a jewelry line. With an equally impressive pedigree of work with top names like Tiffany and Bvlgari, Jay learned he also had a love for the business side of fashion. The duo married and shortly after, began their union in jewelry creating handcrafted pieces of the finest materials and a unique, personal touch. Equally known for their elaborate headbands and handbags, the jewelry line made its debut this year. Gorgeous!

Trend Alert: Mixed Metals

October 6, 2011 4:08:01 PM CDT

It didn't take Vogue editors long to spot one of the hottest trends among our jewelry collections: Mixed metals. That's where designers have come out to play in taking different metals and meshing them together to create pieces that are true statements -- gorgeous, wearable art. What could be better or more fitting for Fall's dynamic, edgy pieces than a little unexpected pairings like this one? While it might appear that the trend is all toughness and nothing sweet, plenty of designers are working alternate metals in subtle, sophisticated and classic ways. There's literally something for everyone! Kelacala Q's Chain Gang is the perfect blend of mixed metals and materials into necklace that really is a staple addition to any wardrobe. Rachel Reinhardt's pieces are chic and elegant -- you'll never want to take your piece off. Vanessa Mooney's Mixed Teardrop Hoops are nice and easy and can work for virtually any outfit. To wear mixed metals regardless of your style, don't be afraid to pull in pieces of single material like gold or silver to compliment the item that combines them both.

Introducing Adriana Carador

September 22, 2011 3:27:23 PM CDT

One of the key pieces in any jewelry wardrobe are a few great investment items. In the past, this has always been left to the classics, which can be wonderful providing that simple, basic jewelry is your style and taste. But what about those of us who dare to be different? Those who have an edge to their look, or a different and unique taste? Enter one of our new favorite designers, Adriana Carador, whose chic, fashionable collection of investment jewelry is nothing short of spectacular. The line was born from the hands of dynamic duo Adriana Carador and Victoria Flores. Their love for spectacular and splendor brought together a partnership that's rocking the industry. Inspired by Carador, a native of Sao Paulo, the line is created from gorgeous Brazilian gems found naturally throughout the country and mined to the designers' specifications. Fall fashion is so decadent -- and with all the leather, suede, waxed denim and dark colors, it's a bit tougher and edgier than previous seasons. Whether you're planning to sport  a pair of leather skinny pants, skirt, dress,or edgy  pair of denim jeans, this is where jewelry can come in and finesse the look to be a little softer and sweet, without losing your edge. That's why we had to rush to Accessory Artists' creative director and founder Marcy Roth, who not only is the kind of girl people stop on the street for styling tips, but has made a pick or two for a few celebrities. So this time around for fall fashion inspiration, Marcy took one of the season's hottest items, the leather full skirt, in nothing richer than inky classic black. She tops it with something a little fun and flirty, a pretty knit. From there, it's back to uber-chic with a pair of chic booties. Marcy picked something with a bit of a heel, but a flat can work too. It's all brought together with two of our favorite pieces, Courtney Lee's Harrison cuff and Isharya's funky-cool Vintage Inspired Rani earrings. Perfect!

Whether your style is clean and classic, ultra trendsetter, cool casual, preppy or just a jeans and tee kind of girl, there is something for everybody to dress the season in style. Accessory Artists Loves Cat Greenleaf!

August 30, 2011 5:14:04 PM CDT

This past week, we had the amazing opportunity to meet with none other than the incredible Cat Greenleaf, host of Talk Stoop, a popular show where Cat interviews celebrities and high profile people on the front steps of her New York home. Talk Stoop airs in nearly a dozen major cities, as well as entertains millions through taxi cabs and gas pumps -- more than 13 million viewers watch the show every week! We're not surprised. This dynamo mom and wife is nothing short of awesome! Naturally, we couldn't wait to work with her to pick jewelry pieces that suit her casual, easy style. We started with what she likes to wear on air. None other than our Creative Director and founder Marcy Roth was on hand to share tips and ideas of how she can work jewelry in. Marcy is the kind of woman people stop on the street (frequently!) to ask her where she got her jewelry -- which was in part what had prompted her to launch Accessory Artists. Marcy and Cat poured over pieces from our online store as Marcy gave hands-on styling insight and ideas, from mixing and matching pieces to working in key items that can punch up an outfit but not take center stage on camera during Cat's many shows. Cat's favorites were Kelacala Q's Ricochet necklace, Joomi Lim's spiked bracelets and Pam Sweeney's gold leatherette -- all simple, statement pieces that are perfect for adding an element of style to her fantastic outfits. Want styling advice from Marcy and the Accessory Artists' team? Visit our Personal Shopper page and we'll help you out!

Meet Isharya

August 25, 2011 11:28:41 AM CDT

Not only did sister-in-laws Gauri and Radhika share by way of family, they also had an eye for fashion and design! The duo joined forces to create the gorgeous line Isharya, which combines their families' rich culture and influences of Indian royalty, Art Nouveau style and their extensive travels to give stylish women everywhere fun, bright and truly decadent fashion jewelry pieces. There is just something elegant, earthy and edgy about this line, whether it's a pair of the designers' simple yet statement earrings or one of their more bold, dynamic pieces. No greater will you see a penchant for mixing ideas and materials -- black and red resin, mirrored glass, gold, chains, snakes. It's not a wonder the collection has caught the eye of major buyers, stylists, celebrities and fashion media. What we love about the line is how it taps age-old jewelry techniques with a modern spin, the effortless blend of East and West, and the always regal, decadent look and feel. Even the company's name is derived from the designers' passion, love and life -- it's a combination of the names of their three children. We're not surprised to see this collection's success! You can view Isharya here.

Let's face it, with all of the beautiful gemstones and bright colors in the jewelry world, it's so hard not to forget about those classic foundation elements that are just as decadent in their own right. Without them, there would be no jewelry! They're the canvas of countless gorgeous necklaces, bracelets, earrings and rings, not to mention just as stylish and fashionable all on their own. One of our favorite foundation elements is none other than silver. Silver is a true chemical element with its own special spot on the periodic table. One of nature's most common science experiments of sorts, it occurs naturally and is the surprising backdrop to everything from currency to mirrors, utensils to machinery -- and of course, gorgeous jewelry items we put on and never want to take off. It has the highest electrical and thermal conductivity of any metal on the planet, and was once even used in medicine to prevent infection. It has also played a part during several world wars. Top silver producing countries include Mexico, Peru, and Poland, where the mineral develops naturally. Over the centuries, it's been associated with intuition, wisdom, nobility and much more. We at Accessory Artists are just as enamored with this beautiful, subtle and timeless metal. You can check out our vast collection of silver pieces here.

If there's one place that we love to scout the latest trends its among celebrities, who are often dressed and styled by the most cutting edge minds in the fashion industry through working with top level stylists. Celebrity stylists are constantly on the move to find what's fresh and what's new in order to keep their famous clients ahead of the fashionable curve. It has them pouring over international fashion trends, sourcing new designers, ideas and stores, checking out the runways around the world, street style, what's hot and happening in top boutiques in major cities like New York and Los Angeles and much, much more. For we not-so-famous faces, this all means that we can tap the same type of cutting-edge style simply by keeping a close watch on what the stars are wearing and buying -- then work the look in our own world. Lately, when it comes to jewelry, it's been all about wearing the single, sweet piece. Rings have been the top most seen item -- paired with everything from gorgeous red carpet dresses to jeans and tees. To get the look in your own closet right now, we love Kim Lyon's decadent square Druzy ring, which tips a hat to another trend of inky dark diamonds. Sally Kay's Luna ring brings in a subtle pop of color, while you'll get the pared down sophistication seen on celebs with Kelacala Q's easy Mereret ring. The bonus? All these little beauties are just as chic when paired together with other items for when the solo piece trend has passed. Enjoy!

Let's face it: For as decadent as summer break might be while growing up as children, heading back to school was always a little exciting and fun. Haircuts, registration day, shopping for new school supplies, and of course, our favorite -- back to school clothes shopping! Even with school days long behind, many of us still share in the tradition of updating our wardrobes for the coming Fall season. Whether you're shopping for back to school or back to fall, we've got a range of GREAT pieces that will work whether you're hitting the books or not. Tap one of the season's hottest trends of mixed metals with Kelacala Q's Lynx rings, which can be worn alone or stacked together. Check Out Accessory Artists in Essence Magazine!

August 9, 2011 4:23:05 PM CDT

If you're at newsstands this week, you may notice Accessory Artists had the honor of being part of a beautiful editorial spread in none other than the incredible Essence magazine. Reaching an estimated 1.1 million readers a month, we could not be more excited to be featured by the magazine's talented stylists. And did they ever pick some amazing pieces! First, it was Kelacala Q's ultra chic (and very affordable!) Brassy collar, which taps two trends (brass, tribal) in one super easy, wearable piece. While an armful of bangles never goes out of style, there's nothing better than a twist on a classic like Courtney Lee's Coco bangle set. The funky square shape in timeless gold is fabulously fashionable with a unique spin. Last, if there is anyone who knows the hottest trends to come, it's editorial stylists and journalists in fashion. Essence's team picked a  bounty of bold, big cuffs -- a major "it" item for the coming season -- which included Linda Wright's vintage belt buckle, Big Vintage's gorgeous swan cuff, and Courtney Lee's Harrison Cuff (all three are our favorites!). You'll see media maven Bevy Smith sporting at least one of 'em! You can buy what was featured here.

One of the hot looks among fashion editors and media these past few weeks have been the sweetest, simplest fine jewelry necklaces, often layered with a few. They're the kind of pieces you throw on every day when you don't have time to think about what to wear, they work for virtually every outfit -- from skinny jeans to pretty dresses -- and are timeless during summer or winter. Even worn alone this tiny jewelry item can make a big statement. To get the look, we suggest Sally Kay's super pretty confetti necklaces. Or, Jessica Field's gorgeous Etruscan piece, which is perfect alone or layered. Amali's candy drop necklace is a decadent option, or Vicente Agor's chic Arctic slope -- or virtually any of these in a combination!

Meet The Powerful Blue Topaz

July 26, 2011 1:11:29 PM CDT

As part of an ongoing series here on the AA blog, we'll be talking about the details behind the gorgeous minerals, metals and gems our designers create with. One of the subtle but no less beautiful favorites is Blue Topaz. Like all minerals, Topaz stems from chemical  reactions in the depths of the earth. In its pure form, its colorless but heat can turn it a variety of of colors, either engineered by  nature or man. Blue is just one of the handful of those hues but by far one of the most celebrated and decadent. It was considered during ancient times to have cooling powers and some even threw it into boiling water to bring the water's temperature down! It was also believed to be a symbol of love and fidelity, making it ideal for the 'something blue' tradition at weddings. If that's not all, this wonder gem was also credited to having the ability to heal ills such as weak vision, insomnia, asthma and even insanity. In some cultures, it was worn to hide from others in dangerous situations. In more modern times, Blue Topaz is the official stone of Texas -- designers there have been known to create it in a special "Lone Star" cut. The gem doesn't just stop there -- it's also the birthstone for the month of December. Perfect for the gem's icy persona and feel, though we love to wear it all year! You can check out all of the Blue Topaz items we carry here

Introducing Rodrigo Otazu

July 19, 2011 1:56:44 PM CDT

We here at Accessory Artists love a designer that creates from a passion for the craft. We scour shows and sources to find unique, one of a kind and under the radar artisan designers who design wearable art and stand out designs -- the more the better! That's exactly why we are very proud to introduce one of the new collections we're carrying. Rodrigo Otazu's dramatic and gorgeous jewelry is just that! A global traveler, the designer's pieces are drawn from his experiences and influences from around the world and combine originality with fashion. But it's New York that the designer loves most, and it absolutely shows! He plays with colors, materials, shapes and sizes as rare and different as the city itself. One look at any of his designs will have you falling in love -- just like the Big Apple does. He is already a favorite among a diverse set of fabulous lady celebrities such as Lady Gaga, Madonna, Aretha Franklin, Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Catrell, Janet Jackson and Penelope Cruz

Fine Jewelry That's Anything But Ordinary

July 14, 2011 12:40:39 PM CDT

In the early days of fine jewelry, choices were limited to the classics. Diamond studs, diamond pendants, traditional metals, etc., with little to offer by way of innovation or true style/fashion. Not to say the pieces were not gorgeous by any stretch! But finding the  unique, the one-of-a-kind, the true treasure that nobody else had? There was not always the opportunity. Fast forward to the present and there could not be more abundance of fantastic pieces to fit the bill -- and you'll find a lot of it here! Jessica Fields' Bubble Bud pendant necklace is a mix of fine materials with a dynamic look and feel. We also love the designers decadent (and so different!) Honeycomb necklace. Adorn your fingers with Sally Kay's beautiful Luna ring, a keepsake with the trappings of fine jewelry but the style perfect for a glossy fashion magazine. If necklaces are your fare, you will never put down Amali Jewelry's precious Candy Drop necklace. We're addicted! If fine jewelry is your forte, shop no further than here.

Jewelry, 1980s Style

July 12, 2011 4:26:16 PM CDT

Certain decades over the course of history were notorious for their fashion -- who can forget the 1960s and 70s, which have forever given us boho chic and flared pants? Or, the 1940s of classic glam? While almost all have left a stamp on fashion, no greater has a decade of style been celebrated than the 1980s. From 80s parties that poke fun at the over-the-top trends of the era, to the edgy styles of skinny jeans and off shoulder tops that permeate the hottest fashion and style magazines, this is one time in our culture that has not been forgotten! Nothing says the 80s like an armful of bangles and bracelets, like Courtney Lee's Coco set. Mix them up with other bracelets or wear alone as a throwback to the popular trend. If you've got the beat ala Go-Gos style, hoop earrings like Amanda Rudey's Many Moon stunners are perfect. Nothing speaks Pat Benetar and Lita Ford chic than Joomi Lim's Double Spike choker. Wear with a dress or simple skinny jeans and a tee for a tough-glam look that made the women of the 80s so fabulous. Tap the era's funky futuristic vibe with Sally Kay's silver Octopus ring -- no neon clothing required!

Evening Chic: Pairing Jewelry For A Night Out

July 7, 2011 12:47:16 PM CDT

With summer there's no better time than to get dressed up and spend a night on the town. Pretty dresses, shorts, summer skin -- it's the perfect time to let your jewelry do the talking! This week, we tapped Marcy Roth, founder of Accessory Artists, for her jewelry styling expertise. What to wear to a chic dinner, dancing with your friends or a fun party? Marcy put together a great look -- with jewelry that'll without a doubt make you stand out. She starts with a gorgeous, simple dress that incorporates the season's hottest hue and plenty of flirty, feminine details. It's topped with a killer pair of strappy heels, and then of course, plenty of fabulous jewelry -- the more the better! For earrings, Marcy grabbed one of our favorites, Mia Lara's dynamic green stunners. They're the perfect addition to any look and add a pop of color. A range of bracelets top the look to give it depth and dimension -- Courtney Lee's Coco bangles and Harrison cuff, mixed with Joomi Lim's Double Spike. Don't be afraid to mix it up! In case the temperatures drop during your seaside dinner or evening fete, she tossed in a leather jacket. A cardigan, wrap or shawl can work as well.

Meet The Gorgeous, Sparkling Druzy

June 30, 2011 12:17:21 PM CDT

We carry a lot of unique and interesting, one of a kind jewelry for a reason: To bring that to our customers, who are equally as exquisite and rare, too. One of our favorite jewelry elements is the beautiful druzy. If you've never heard of this decadent item, we're excited to share it with you. Originating from within or other stones, druzy are quartz crystals that are formed by the earth when water and rocks collide and creates their tiny formation. This is actually how many of the beautiful gemstones today were created. Druzy developed from a dynamic combination of science and nature stemming from molten rock, heat, pressure, expanding gasses and water. Some say druzy looks like rock candy, and it's often found to be as colorful too. Here at Accessory Artists, we've got a selection of exclusive pieces using this unexpected mineral. While you can find synthetic and proccesed druzy, what we carry is real and untouched. Designer Kim Lyons has two ring options, one bold and the other unusual, while Sally Kay's teardrop druzy Agate necklace is the ultimate statement piece -- no two druzies are alike. If the earth is indeed female as "Mother Nature" eludes, she certainly has a penchant for creating sparkling things for we women to adore! We'll be carrying more druzy soon including some great budget-friendly options.

We here at Accessory Artists have talked quite a bit about all things wedding here -- after all, there's no more of a perfect time for great jewelry than when wedding bells chime. There's no more of a busy season for blushing brides than summertime. Whether you're walking the aisle, serving bridesmaid duty or simply enjoying the fete as a guest, there are so many fun and timeless traditions to play on. Our favorite? Adorning the age-old festivity of "something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue," which stems from an Old English rhyme intended to serve as good luck charms. They're meant to be little tokens taken from others but you can certainly give them to yourself. It's said that something old represents community, something new means optimism for your new future. Something borrowed is symbolic of borrowed happiness, and something blue stands for fidelity, purity, and love. Bride or not who doesn't want that? Our beloved picks for this timeless quartet start with Big Vintage's gorgeous Chicklet necklace, surely a something old well worthy of any bride. For something new, we couldn't be more optimistic about Kelacala Q's Chain Gang, which you can wear as a wristet on the big day and then a necklace for your many happy years to come. A decadent something borrowed to tie the look together is Cocotay's Flower Clip earrings. Top it all off with Ana Cavalheiro's Bouquet ring, absolutely perfect for ringing in good luck!

Showing your patriotism or dressing up to celebrate holidays doesn't need to be gaudy. Not only has holiday-focused apparel become more chic and stylish, it's also become more understated. Not to mention you've always got the option of playing on colors versus specific holiday themes. That's exactly where working great, colorful jewelry items can come into play. What's great about playing with the holidays in this way is that you will be able to wear the pieces again (and again) long after the holiday has passed. With the Fourth of July around the corner, chances are you're already thinking about what you'll be wearing to all the festivities and celebrations. To work a little red into your look, we suggest Pam Sweeney's leatherette, which works in the patriotic tone and can be worn either as a necklace or bracelet. If blue is your hue, how about Subversive's gorgeous Pouring Pearl earrings? If white's your type then give Amanda Rudey's Lindsay earrings a try -- the white Topaz will be the perfect topper for anything you wear. And, if you want to go with a mix of all three colors, Big Vintage's DeMaria earrings are our favorite pick.

Styling The Season's Hot Trend: Skinny Cargos

June 16, 2011 3:41:27 PM CDT

We've gushed about Accessory Artists founder Marcy Roth's incredible talents for styling jewelry in the past. When we say she's literally stopped on the street about the jewelry she wears and especially how she wears it, we're not joking! This past week Marcy took a little time to play with a common item in everybody's closet at the moment: The skinny cargo. Part military-chic, part timeless classic, it's a piece that has seen heavy rotation on everybody from stars to everyday fashionistas, and beyond. If the skinny cargo isn't your look, worry not -- trouser, wider leg, boyfriend cuts, etc. are also out in abundance. Where it can be tricky to style this piece is that if you're not careful it can look a little drab. In fact, the way to work the cargo this season is with softer, lighter pieces and accessories to tone down its masculine vibe. That's exactly what Marcy did with the look she put together. It's paired with a feminine but easy top and of course, gorgeous jewelry you can buy right here on Accessory Artists. She started by mixing two gorgeous necklaces for an unexpected (and equally on trend!) look, both from Kelacala Q. It's paired with Sally Kay's gorgeous Octopus ring, which she tops with one of Linda Wright's vintage steel buckle bracelets and a pair of simple, embellished flat sandals. A perfect combination!

This past week, Accessory Artists founder and jewelry aficionado Marcy Roth was on the jewelry industry beat at the market's hottest trade shows of the year. These events are held throughout the year to give store buyers, media and trend forecasters a taste of what's to come -- and what will be hot in the coming year for designers and stores. This past week's shows are the biggest annual US based events for fine jewelry, with a few key high end fashion collections mixed in, so you get to see a bit of everything. From established designers to the brand new designers debuting their first fine collection. Fine jewelry which is less seasonal than costume still changes over time with trends, but less rapidly as fine jewelry is really seen as investment in something you should be able to wear for years and seasons to come. At this year's shows not only did she get a sneak peek of what's in production now and place some orders, but you can actually snap up the "it" trends of the future today right here on Accessory Artists! According to Marcy, black diamonds were everywhere. You can get the look from Amali's Midnight Cascade necklace with the black diamonds that drape along a stunning London blue topaz. Druzy and Agate collections and pieces were also all over the shows. We love Sally Kay's Druzy Necklace, and we saw nothing quite like it at the show. Semi precious stones in organic settings were also big, such as our Mia Lara Pink Chalcedony Addison earrings. As there is sensitivity towards the rising price of gold we saw more  designers offering 14kt, sterling silver and oxidized sterling silver as options within their collections. Cuffs were everywhere in a big way, especially those embellished with stones. We've got 21 dynamic, decadent styles to choose from -- grab one (or two!) and you will be ahead of the curve for the year to come.

There's nothing more delicious than an interesting piece of jewelry, the more unique the better as far as we're concerned! When it comes to pulling this off, no greater are the amazing designers in the industry who mix medias -- silks with gems, metals with pearls, metals with metals, you name it. Here at Accessory Artists we carry quite a bit of these numbers and today's post is all about sharing just that. When it comes to the dynamic, one of our favorites (and surely it'll be one of yours!) is Dewi Design's Asymmetrical Globes necklace. Handsewn globes in gorgeous colors are blended decadently with gorgeous gold-filled chain. If something silky is on your palette, we highly recommend just about any piece from the talented Kelacala Q, who blends the sultry material with a range of metals and other elements. Nothing is more unexpected than designers who work wood with metal, which you'll find with Oblik Atelier's interlock ring. It pairs a rich, dark wood with sleek, succulent silver for a chic, subtle statement. To pack a cool mixed media punch into a single item, we can't get enough of Pam Sweeney. With a blend of leather, pearls and so much more, it's all our jewelry favorites rolled in one. Enjoy!

Let's face it. There is nothing as gorgeous, stunning, decadent and adored than the diamond. It's mere word is said to be derived from the terms like "unbreakable" and "untamed." It's no wonder so many of us love it! It's like a tiny slice of heaven on earth. It's been going strong as a must-have and coveted stone for more than 6,000 years! Now that's a timeless trend. Big or small, regardless of cut, diamonds are delicious. Here at Accessory Artists, we've got a few great 'best friends' of our own, ranging from the elegant to the trendy to the funky -- and just about everything in between.  If it's a classic style you're looking for, we highly recommend cozying up with any of the amazing pieces from designer Jessica Fields. For a boho/earthy vibe, Brooke Gregson is our go-to girl -- she works the beloved stone with everything from silks and beads. Trend-setters don't you worry -- there's a BFF in waiting with any of Yayoi Forest's funky cool choices. If you're the kind of girl that likes to stand out in a crowd with something unique, both Courtney Lee and Alex Stein have statement cuffs that incorporate a "girl's best friend" with designs you won't see on any other wrist but yours.

If you hadn't been kissed by the summer sun this weekend, chances are warmer weather is still upon you -- and that's got us all thinking about what to do and wear in the coming season. Long gone are heavy knits and head-to-toe clothing coverage, making it the perfect time for a few stand-out jewelry pieces. Not to mention with balmy temperatures, less is more so why not make a statement! When it comes to summer trends, color is everywhere and that includes jewelry. The brighter the better! Like any of Mia Lara's stunning pop color pieces. Or you can play on 70s chic and sport Vanessa Mooney's chic tassle earrings. For rings, believe it or not, things are finally quieting down. Cocktail rings are still in full force, but they're being eclipsed by subtle metals and simple look and feel, like either of Sally Kay's bubble rings, available in gold or silver. Necklaces are BOLD and DYNAMIC for the season. We love Ben-Amun's large chain link take. With bracelets, the cuff is the word -- and plays on similar trends, especially for evening. Put a Linda Wright vintage cuff on either wrist for an up-to-date look for day or evening.

Another Sweet Summer Jewelry Look!

May 26, 2011 5:32:11 PM CDT

Now that summer is practically in full swing, we're all dying to find cute and casual looks for lunches, shopping or running around town. Here at Accessory Artists, there's no one better than our founder Marcy Roth to tap for this -- Marcy's so great at styling jewelry pieces, women constantly stop her on the street to find out what she's got on. No doubt this is where a great deal of the passion behind Accessory Artists has stemmed from! This week, Marcy pulled together yet another cute denim look incorporating pieces you can find right here on the site. She starts with Kelacala Q's chic and simple Ricochet necklace, which is the perfect easy addition to any outfit -- be it daytime or night. Next she adds the gorgeous folded brass cuff by Oblik Atelier. You'll love it's clean line and stylish twist. It's all topped off with one of Mia Lara's pretty, colorful rings. With jeans, a tee and simple nude shoes, it's the perfect pop of color.  It's a great look with heels or flats -- Marcy included both to give you a few fun options.

Introducing Vanessa Mooney

May 24, 2011 2:35:26 PM CDT

We're excited to announce yet another great, new jewelry designer to Accessory Artists! Jewelry designer Vanessa Mooney grew up among creativity. From a family of artists, filmmakers, writers, painters and actors, including Harry Warner of Warner Bros., she spent her childhood immersed in the arts. Like the generations before her, it wasn't long before Vanessa was tapping her creative spirit on her own. What began as a love for vintage and contemporary fashion evolved into the creation of her jewelry line, which she launched in 2009. Combining unique textures, colors, and materials, her pieces are a mix of chic artistry and fashionable style -- the type of items you'll throw on (and on again) no matter what you're wearing, be it daytime, casual or night. What we love about Vanessa's gorgeous collection is that its handcrafted in her studio, located in the heart of Los Angeles -- a stones throw from the movie, art and television industry that played such a role in her early life. No matter which decadent piece you choose, you will always feel like you're wearing something special!

Mixing Statement Pieces For A Casual Look

May 17, 2011 2:08:56 PM CDT

One of the most talented people when it comes to styling jewelry is none other than Accessory Artists' founder, Marcy Roth. She's the kind of person you see and want to stop on the street to ask where she got her earrings, bracelet or necklace (or all three). Naturally we couldn't resist asking her to put together a few looks using some of the jewelry we carry here on the site! Marcy's first incredible outfit is a chic, casual look that could work for brunch in Soho on a Sunday, or jet setting on a cross-country flight. She pairs jeans, a tank, spring scarf and flat strappy sandals with three gorgeous statement pieces. The first is none other than Joomi Lim's unique Queen Bee chandelier earring, which combines mixed metals and a bright red Swarovski Crystals to give the perfect amount of pop. Marcy pairs the look with Oblik Atelier's one-of-a-kind folded brass cuff, then tops it all off with Kelacala Q's fun and easy stackable rings -- which were featured in this year's Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition! Stay tuned for more styling posts here on the AA blog featuring great ways to work and wear pieces we carry on the site.

Introducing Ben-Amun

May 12, 2011 2:13:02 PM CDT

Few collections have turned heads like Ben-Amun. The decadent line created by the son of one of Egypt's royal jewelers, it's pieces are every bit exotic and dynamic as its signature name. Created by Cairo born designer Isaac Manevitz, who has more than 30 years fashion cred, Ben-Amun has not just been a favorite of fashion insiders and celebrities but professional women as well. It's no wonder, given that Manevitz has a penchant for creating elegant, bold statement pieces that work just as comfortably with a business suit and heels as a party dress. It's also graced some of the most prestigious runway shows in the world, including Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren and Donna Karan. Perhaps its Manevitz's talent for working with fine and unusual materials. You'll find lucite, glass and crystal, gold, pewter and a range of others. What we love is how each piece is handcrafted in Ben-Aumn's factory in New York's iconic fashion district. You won't want just one piece from this new AA collection!

Favorite Jewelry Items For Working Girls

May 10, 2011 12:45:18 PM CDT

Who can't forget the 1980 classic movies like "9 to 5" and "Mr. Mom?"

After all that's when corporate America was taken by storm by the female kind and women everywhere were introduced to the 'power suit.' Today more than 60 million women own their own businesses and women make up more than half of the country's workforce! Equally evolved, of course, has been the working woman's wardrobe. The days of polyester tie-neck blouses and drab, uneventful suits have been replaced with chic and sleek styles, pencil skirts, gorgeous silk button-ups, and lots of color, color, color -- not to mention prints. No doubt this has also opened the door for great jewelry items, which are the glue that holds all those crisp and stern workday pieces together (not to mention punch them up!). Subtle statement pieces can add that style twist no matter what you're wearing, be it suit or wrap dress, business casual or whatever else your office code might permit. The ticket to building a great jewelry wardrobe for your work day is to invest in the basics -- a great necklace, a ring or two, bracelets and of course, earrings. Courtney Lee's Coco bangles are the right kind of elegance and simplicity for pairing with virtually anything. Sally Kay's bubble earring (available in gold or silver) won't steer you wrong, while Vincent Agor's Antarctica Slope necklace is purely delicious. Want to jazz things up a tiny bit? Slip in something that's a little unique, like Oblik Atelier's Interlock ring.

Spring Celebrity Jewelry Trends

May 5, 2011 3:49:27 PM CDT

While Awards season has ended for this year in Hollywood, spring always brings an array of prestigious events that draw the likes of some of the most famous faces in the world. First stop, the White House Correspondent's Dinner, which mixes politicians with our favorite celebrities, along with plenty of gorgeous fashion. Following shortly after is the annual Met Ball. It may not draw Washington DC clout, but it certainly sparkles with stars. Virtually all of Hollywood's A-list attends! Let's not forget the Royal Wedding, which netted plenty of famous faces too. While you may not be donning a ball gown and hitting the red carpet, chances are your social calendar may be full of fun galas all their own -- weddings, birthday parties, BBQs, and of course, hitting the town during summer's hot nights. With the season's balmy temperatures, great jewelry can be a style asset, and no better a place to scope the trends than Hollywood's hottest springtime events. What's trending now without a doubt are dynamic, statement cuffs, worn with everything from gorgeous dresses to simple tees and tanks. The sky is the limit! Any of Courtney Lee Collection's incredible cuffs will absolutely do the trick. If you want to add a little sparkle, Big Vintage is a great bet. Second to the bold cuff seen among stars, elegant earrings have turned up everywhere -- if you've got a summer wedding or just a night on the town, take a cue from Kate Middleton and work a gorgeous pair like Jessica Field's Clover earrings or Cocotay's Vintage Flower pair. For those who love a great statement ring, worry not! They're just as popular as ever. Either of Kim Lyons' Druzy rings will do the trick!

We can only imagine what it had felt like for our own parents to watch us finally ready to leave the nest. Whether that's a graduation from junior high, high school, college or grad school, moms and dads everywhere must surely breathe a sigh of relief -- and pride -- to watch their offspring walk across the stage in that cap and gown. Without a doubt, such an accomplishment is worthy of a fantastic keepsake item, and nothing is better than jewelry for just that. Amanda Rudey's Forget Me Not Earring cherishes the moment in a gorgeous pair that'll work long after your graduate has moved onto other milestones in life. Courtney Lee's beautiful Erica bracelet will adorn her wrist for years after for sure. If the occasion calls for a necklace, Yayoi Forest's black diamond pendant or Pam Sweeny's heart choker will likely do the trick. In fact, we've got so many great jewelry items to celebrate your special day, you might have a hard time choosing just one. Tap our personal shopper service if you need help. That's why we're here!

Cascading Necklaces

April 28, 2011 8:50:27 AM CDT

Spring is finally in the air, and waterfall-inspired, cascading necklaces are calling our names right now.  Perfectly suited to lay against bare skin or compliment a high-neck, solid blouse, these pieces are the ultimate feminine statement thanks to their loose, flowing gems and chains.

A few current favorites include The Honeycomb Chandelier Necklace from Jessica Fields, the Labradorite Waterfall Necklace from Brooke Gregson, and the Midnight Cascade Necklace from Amali Jewelry.  We often associate chandelier or cascading styles with earrings rather than necklaces, but there's something about the way these particular pieces lay on the neck that renders them equally as appealing as their earring counterparts.

Though subtle, the strategic draping on each of these necklaces makes them stand out as true works of art.  Each one features exquisite stones, complimented by strands that drop ever so perfectly against the skin.  Call us romantics, but these soft necklaces are -- literally -- what we're falling for this month.

April showers may bring May flowers, but the entire span of spring and summer brings one of our favorite things: Weddings! Whether you are the bride, a bridesmaid, the mother of the bride (or groom), an attendant, or just a cherished guest, there is no attire fit for the fete without at least one stunning jewelry accessory. For the bride, there's nothing quite as ethereal as a simple, statement piece, the more elegant the better. We love Jackie Stone's Celestial bracelet for the occasion. In gold or silver, it's a stunning topper to any bridal dress. If earrings are more the fare, Submersive's Whisk earring combines a gorgeous mix of style and glam, or go with a statement necklace like Kerry MacBride's Ginko necklace. For the mother of the bride, a simple pop of color is often the perfect companion -- Mia Lara's Chloe Chalcedony ring will provide just that. Adorn your bridesmaid with something simple that they'll love long after the nuptials are over, like virtually any of Cocotay Vintage's earrings (which can also make a great bridesmaid gift!). And of course, any of these lovely baubles will be perfect whether you're an attendant or guest. Looking for something old, something new, something borrowed and blue? Big Vintage's ultra chic earrings provide it all in one trick!

Mother's Day is May 8 this year, and you may be thinking about what to get that leading lady in your life, be it a mother, wife, sister, or grandmother. Cards and flowers are always great, but sometimes the occasion calls for something that reminds mom of your love and gratitude long after the celebration has passed. There's nothing quite like a gem or bauble to do the trick! Whether your mom has a clean, classic style who leans to crisp button ups and cardigans, or a closet full of boho-chic, there's a gorgeous piece of jewelry for everyone -- at whatever price you'd like to spend. Mia Lara's beautiful Ada Pink Stud Earrings will top virtually any outfit mom wears with a sweet and simple statement. Jackie Stone's classy Celestial Pendant Necklace will go just about anywhere -- and with anything -- that she might be doing. Kelacala Q's elegant but easy stackable rings add a pop of no-nonsense style to her day. She'll be able to throw them on and go as easy as 1-2-3! If she loves a fun and whimsical piece, Alex Stein's Bee Cuff bracelet will do the trick. If diamonds are mom's best friend, we recommend Jessica Fields' breathtaking Etruscan diamond necklace. We've never met a mom that didn't love it!

Sparkle with The Courtney Lee Collection

It's not just about the clothes we all wear but how we adorn them. When it comes to making a gorgeous and dynamic statement, we can't get enough of Courtney Lee Collection. The collection combines a mix of high fashion and runway glam with easy, everyday wearability. Her stunning line is equally at place with a simple tee and jeans or a party dress for a night on the town. Prom Favorites

April 14, 2011 2:02:00 PM CDT

While prom season is often all about the dress, there is no greater time to make a great jewelry investment. After all, you (or your daughter, niece, etc.) are reaching an epic life milestone as you attend this gala event. Decades later you may find that you've long ditched the dress, but an iconic gem or bauble will hold the moment forever long after you've hid away those classic prom photos. You're only young once, and that's more than enough reason to celebrate with a jewelry piece that captures all that is your perfect prom moment. The best part? Your keepsake item doesn't need to be expensive. Top a sleek black dress with an unexpected edge with Joomi Lim's double spike bracelet. Years later you'll reach for it time and time again, with jeans, cocktail dresses or just a simple cotton tank top and pair of pants. Eilish Bouchier's Rose Agate drop earrings or Amali Jewelry's beautiful drop necklace are a gorgeous compliment to all of the season's prom color trends, while virtually any of Mia Lara's items will make a statement. We also love Amanda Rudey's Big Flower ring -- perfect for prom today and virtually anything (or anywhere) life takes you long after you dance the night away at one of life's most celebrated events.

Affordable Precious Stones

April 12, 2011 2:19:29 PM CDT

Precious stones can be outright decadent with virtually any outfit. Whether its a single stone to add a pop of color or an array of tones brought together, there is no greater way to make a statement. Yet such gorgeous adornment can give the impression of being ultra-expensive. After all, with a history that dates back to ancient Greece, one can only imagine that such delightful treasures must be a gift reserved for gods and goddesses, not mere mortals. But, ah, one can tap into an array of stones at prices that will fit virtually any budget. Eilish Bouchier's soulful Chakra ring brings a splash of colors at a great price, while Amanda Rudey's Mini Dew Drop earrings tease the ears with Blue Topaz and pearls. If you've got a little more to spend, we recommend Alex Stein's Full Moon earrings, which are so simple yet speak volumes no matter what you are wearing, or try Liza Shtromberg's beautiful Rose Quartz necklace. With so many sweet nuggets to chose from, you may find yourself returning for seconds. Go ahead, indulge!

Introducing Mia Lara

April 7, 2011 7:18:25 AM CDT

With all of spring's pale neutrals, nude tones, soft whites and water colors, a bold pop of color is practically a requirement. Style setters are working this in with accessories -- handbags, scarves, and of course our favorite, jewelry. While we at Accessory Artists are crazy about the designers we carry, there may be no more delicious and decadent way to bring in color than through Mia Lara's gorgeous collection. The designer's roots to gems and baubles began during her years as a wee child, when she'd handcraft pieces and sell them at roadside stands. She went on to earn a pedigree at Columbia University, spent years in fashion business and finance, then returned to bring it all together in her own jewelry business. Affordable yet high quality, each exquisite piece in the line makes a true statement. Whether you work the Maeve Blue Topaz earrings with a chic halter top or the Addison Green Onxy earrings to top spring's love affair with blushed peach.

Remembering A True Jewelry Legend

March 29, 2011 9:54:26 AM CDT

Elizabeth Taylor will be remembered for many things in life, from her great acting and exquisite style to her movies to her many husbands and love affairs. But if there is one thing the iconic leading lady will be recalled for is her adoration of jewelry -- not only did she name her signature perfume after diamonds, but published an entire book on her gorgeous collection of baubles, bangles, and gems, complete with stories behind each beautiful piece. No doubt we may someday see her decadent pieces in a display or museum.

As she once was quoted saying, "I adore wearing gems, but not because they are mine. You can't possess radiance, you can only admire it.

Nobody in Hollywood knew jewelry better than Elizabeth. No doubt she will be forever remembered.

From SI Swimsuit Issue to Oscar to Reality

March 1, 2011 9:07:23 PM CST

Recently we’ve touched on everything from model swimsuit shoots in Fiji to Couture on the Oscar Red Carpet.  And that’s what we love about jewelry it works no matter who you are, where you are, what you are wearing or what’s on deck for your day.  It is the most versatile accessory out there, and nothing brings out the brilliance and glow in a woman like a fabulous piece of jewelry. Thus why we are so obsessed!! So while most of us don’t have professional stylists to help us dress for our day on the red carpet, channel your inner stylist and select pieces that highlight your beauty and help you glow for your day.

We are always on the search for new pieces that we think will help independent minded women style themselves for their every day.  Here are just a few of the latest rings we’ve added. Stand by as we introduce new collections in the coming weeks.  Including some elegant pieces with beautiful color and some fabulous one of kind vintage.

Get Inspired by The Oscar Glamour

February 22, 2011 3:28:09 PM CST

Award season is coming to a close this weekend with the biggest and best gala of them all – The Oscars.  We can’t wait to see what our favorite actresses will be wearing, but most of all we can’t wait to see the gorgeous jewels they’ll be dripping in.

While chances are slim that we’ll score an invite to the Academy Awards during this lifetime, we do love looking to this red carpet affair for inspiration on evening attire.  Special occasion jewelry is designed to make such a statement about your personal style, and pieces like these can really help you feel like a princess.  We’ve often found that a beautiful necklace or diamond bracelet can easily turn you into the belle of the ball.  Even a glamorous pair of earrings can add some much-needed sparkle on a special evening.

But aside from large, statement pieces, we’ve also relied on more soft, subtle jewelry to top off our fancy frocks.  What are your favorite pieces of jewelry to pair with an evening gown

There is so much going on this week NY Fashion Week, Monday was Valentine’s Day and now the 2011 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue! ….Wait why would we jewelry obsessed people care about Sports Illustrated?? Well for one, we would all love to be lounging on the beaches of the Boracay Islands, Fiji, or the British Virgin Islands looking & feeling like a glamorous swimsuit model. (Although none of us may feel ready for bathing suit season). But truth be told we are excited because our designer Kelacala Q, has sexy jewelry adorning the stunning models that grace the pages of 2011 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, that hit newsstands February 15th.  And now you can accessorize like a swimsuit model, as we give you access to those very pieces you are seeing on models such as Irina Shayk, Genevieve or Izabel Goulart.AccessoryArtists.com is giving you the tools, to create your own casual or beachy, lounging in Fiji look.

The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue included jewelry from Kelacala Q that is all about sexy, casual, and hip. The pieces offer a sexy yet effortless  sense of style.  Layer a Silver Playdate Dog Tag and Copper Kama Sutra Dog Tag or layer one of the Dog tags with a Kelacala Q Aura Chain. Want to accessorize your wrists, throw on a few fun Cloisonné Beaded Fish Bracelets. If you are a ring girl, check out the sexy Lynx Stacking rings that have 3 styles and multiple metals options. Any of these pieces can help you create that effortless layered look,  even better these pieces will mix well with ones you already have in your jewelry wardrobe. So you can get that Swimsuit model look, incorporating your own personal style twist to make it your own look.

Another reality we know it’s not exactly swimsuit season in most places, but maybe you are planning that winter escape, but really who needs the swimsuit, these pieces look equally as sexy with a t-shirt or sweater and jeans. Give them a try!

Celebrity Stylists Loving Our Leatherette Pieces

February 2, 2011 9:55:23 AM CST

Quick update on our Leatherette collection from Pame Designs. These pieces are part of a relatively new collection from new designer Pam Sweeney of Pame Designs. This collection comprises mixing leather with metals and leather with pearls and marcasite accents. It’s a great collection that combines sophistication with an earthy essence. The Pame collection leatherette pieces are becoming fast favorites of celebrity stylists and the celebrities that are wearing them. Already the bracelet was featured on the cover of LA Magazine Bunker Hill, with Taryn Manning wearing the Gold Leatherette as a Necklace.

In the past few days, Giuliana Rancic has worn a leatherette piece on two broadcasts of E! News. First she wore the Silver Leatherette as a layered necklace and then wore the Gold Leatherette as a Bracelet. And she wore the Gold Leatherette on the Monday show after SAG Awards where they ran the Fashion Police segment. So our leatherette must have passed the Fashion Police test! Doesn’t get better than that!

The Perfect Collaboration - Joomi Lim Collection

January 31, 2011 2:08:57 PM CST

Accessory Artists is so excited to welcome Joomi Lim to our roster of spectacular jewelry designers. Joomi Lim is a collaboration from husband and wife team Joomi Lim and Xavier Ricolfi. In 2009, Joomi Lim  launched it’s debut collection internationally. We were intrigued from the minute we first laid eyes on their pieces and kept them on our radar for awhile.  We love how the pieces have a sense of edge and sassiness but are very wearable and not “too out there”. All of their pieces offer the perfect balance of rocker chick, edginess along with clean, chic sophistication and glamour.

This collection is our second husband and wife collaboration, Symbiotique is a husband and wife team effort as well. With Valentine’s Day approaching, there is nothing more romantic than celebrating a new husband and wife jewelry collection. We love these collaborations as you can see how the talents , vision and personalities of two individuals merge into a fabulous and unique collection.  We are already getting rave reviews for the Joomi Lim pieces we've selected, so expect to see more from them in the near future!

Need we say more the pictures and pieces speak for themselves!!

Get Inspired by Nature

January 24, 2011 10:46:57 AM CST

As we watch Mother Nature work her wonders on many of us this winter, we thought it was fitting to focus on some of our nature inspired collections. Many designers use nature as inspiration for their jewelry designs--who can blame them-- as what is more inspirational and breathtaking than the real outdoors. While we are based here in the Concrete Jungle of NYC, we are that much more appreciative of the inspiration and beauty offered by the real outdoors. While many designers look to elements of nature for inspiration, it’s fascinating how each interpret and produce collections that are so distinct and unique in their own way.

Kerry Macbride works his magic with a bold interpretations of the Gingko Leaf through his Ginkgo collection, an exclusive collection to Accessory Artists. He creates stunning 22kt Gold Plated pieces that make Ginkgo truly elegant and glamorous. Envision your wrist with a gracious bold Ginkgo bracelet or your neckline decorated with a Ginkgo necklace reminiscent of the way the Greeks wore grape leaves around their neck. Or check out the one of a kind Silver Vine cuff that was inspired by vines. All such divine handcrafted creations inspired by the greenery of nature.

Yayoi Inada, designer behind, Yayoi Forest produces a sweet, delicate nature inspired collection, taking fun inspiration from the forests of her childhood. Her pieces are literal interpretations with the Twig HoopsTwig Heart necklace(available in Gold or Silver) and Oxidized Silver Diamond Twig necklace. She does it with such finesse and an ever so subtle edge to each piece. We all have a pair or 2 of hoop earrings, but a pair of sterling silver Twig inspired hoop earrings are such a fun, natural twist on the everyday hoop.

Symbiotique, a collection by designers Fabienne Christe and Ludovice Ledien, looks to nature and the sea for some of their inspiration. It really is apparent when you check out their Mermaid Bracelet and Perle Noire Bracelet. They carefully select naturely shaped semi precious stones, unique freshwater pearls and charms to create a funky clustered yet stunning work of art for your wrist. You will feel like you are wearing work of art pulled directly from the sea.

Show your appreciation for the beauty of nature and its elements by wearing playful piece of nature inspired jewelry.

Master Necklace Nonchalance

January 9, 2011 4:06:00 PM CST

All of us need a few necklaces to  just “throw on”. Necklaces that simply finish off THAT outfit, necklaces that are fun to mix with other necklaces, and necklaces that work well in a range of climates and situations. We all could use a few necklaces that transform that white t-shirt or black sweater to urban chic, bohemian glamour, casual sophistication or most importantly “my look”.  Our pictures speak for the way you can easily wear a few  of Accessory Artists’ necklaces, but these are just the tipping point for the 100’s of ways to add the pieces to your outfit and make your entire look truly yours. We know you can get way more creative!!

Looking at the necklaces in our collection, a few of our designers have really mastered the “throw on” necklace especially one designer in particular, Lara Kurtzman behind Kelacala Q. She creates necklaces that do all the work for you, enabling you to put it on with nonchalance,  yet taking your look to the next level. Kelacala Q creates necklaces with a subtle urban edge combined with classic sophistication. From the Ricochet Necklace with vintage African brass trading beads on leather, to the Molten Necklace with vintage glass beads and brass chains, the Fool's Paradise Necklace of Gold Pyrite and Sterling Silver or the Cubist Necklace with vintage gold beads on suede,  any one of these necklace will really do the trick. I bet if  you try one of these necklaces out just once, you will find yourself reaching for it over and over. Perhaps trying it out in new ways such as layering it, wearing it long, even wearing it as a bracelet. It can get addicting, trust me.

No matter what, when picking out new necklaces, look for necklaces that are made of quality materials and design, so that you can get more than a few wears out of it. We gravitate towards designers that only use quality materials, such as Kelacala Q where they creatively incorporate vintage materials while designing a contemporary piece. No matter what you are drawn to definitely make sure you have a few go to throw on necklaces that are fun, wearable and resonate with your wardrobe and personality.

Here's to Adorning Yourself in 2011

January 3, 2011 10:37:43 AM CST

It’s 2011…. a chance to start fresh. This will be the year to evolve your personal style, let’s just take those fashion “oops” or mistaken purchases of last year and put them behind us. Now is the time to focus on evolving your personal style so that you don’t spend where you don’t need to and you don’t end up with a closet and jewelry box filled with pieces that you never reach for. Maybe chasing that great sale or deal felt fun for the moment, but do you now have a closet filled with great deals that you will never wear? Now they don't feel like such a great deal? This year think about adding pieces to your collection that make sense for YOU, pieces that you will reach for often. Rather than get that bracelet because it’s the “it” bracelet or it’s a great deal, seek out  pieces that resonate with YOU, your aspirations, your personality and your existing wardrobe. This is where you will truly reap the most benefit and the get the best value from a purchase…. and those pieces will ultimately resonate with your wallet.

In the world of style, there are so many great jewelry and style trends for the coming year the list is endless.  We focus on jewelry as we believe it is the best tool in the fashion pallete, enabling you to really express yourself and personalize the most basic outfit. But whether you are looking for new clothing, jewelry or other accessories the most important trend across the board is to follow your style intuiton, please dress to impress yourself.  Style is a state of mind, it is that sense of having the uttermost confidence that what you put on for the day works for YOU and your day. It can be as big as making a statement with a bold, layered necklace you put on with that chunky sweater,  skinny pants and those stellar stilleto boots or as low key and comfortable  as a pair of jeans with a classic cashmere sweater together with a pair of subtle stud earrings along with your new favorite ring. Whatever direction you go in, when you get dressed for your day or night, dressing with confidence will be the best thing you can do for yourself.

We don’t try to dictate the must haves for 2011, because those will be different for each person. But this year, may we offer a few great jeweled styles that we think are fabulous?  Our first love for 2011 is “Mixing it up” which comprises pieces that create an eclectic look with unique combinations in one piece of jewelry. Examples include a necklace of pearls strung on leather, a necklace of silk tied together with gold and semi-precious stones, a bracelet or necklace that mixes different  gold and silver metals, leather and metals, and even diamonds with synthetics such as rope. Also mix it up with a piece, wear it as a necklace today, wrap it on your wrist tomorrow as a layered bracelet, and maybe even try it out as a belt on Sunday. Another way we love to look at mixing it up is mixing your fine jewelry with a fashion piece. We believe investing in fine jewelry is the best place for your money these days, but it is always fun to pick up a few fun fashion pieces.  So wear your 18kt gold diamond pave earrings with a big bold fashion necklace. That’s a great way to shake things up for 2011.

Stay tuned for more on jewelry style, trends and tips in the coming weeks and months!

Here is to adorning yourself in 2011!!

At The Finish Line of 2010

December 26, 2010 6:42:00 PM CST

So we are almost at the finish line, one holiday left for 2010, before we can all take a little respite and return to life as normal. If there is ever a state of normal… One holiday left to figure out what to wear…if you still don’t have anything to throw on for New Year’s Eve there's still time. But this should  be one of those fun, stress free decisions, as should anything involving jewelry!

New Years is the moment to reflect on the great times and challenges of the year, but more importantly it's a time to look forward and celebrate all that is to come in 2011. For New Year’s Eve, some of us will attend big dressy celebrations, others will opt for small casual dinner parties or choose to hang at home with that someone special someone.  No matter what your plan of choice is nothing says “Let’s Ring in the New Year” like slipping on the right piece of festive bijoux.

Want to go one of a kind on New Year’s making a statement like no other, try Justin Giunta’s Ruby Pixelated Necklace. Prefer to go gold, sophisticated and glamorous invest in Vicente Agor's Antartica Slope Earrings or Brooke Gregson’s Ametrine Waterfall Earrings, you will find yourself wearing them for many New Years and occasions to come. Are you vintage crazed, try one of Cocotay’s extravagant authentic Vintage pieces such as her Half Moon Earrings or Lara Kurtzman’s Molten Necklace ,a contemporary layered necklace comprised of vintage materials. If you are all about keeping it casual, try Pam Sweeney’s Triple Pearl Choker.

No matter what direction you go in, adding the right piece of jewelry can perfectly finesse your look for the evening. With all we have had going on over the last few weeks who has the time to spend hours planning outfits for one night. Focus on family, fun, food, enjoyment, before we step into 2011!!!

Happy New Year from Accessory Artists!

Gorgeous Bijoux To Complete Your Holiday Style

December 6, 2010 7:17:41 AM CST

There is the gift side of the holiday season, and then there is the parties & events side, the food and drinks side, and of course, the clean up. But perhaps one of the most challenging elements of this season is DRESSING for all of it. From religious services to family get-togethers to office parties and gift exchanges, fundraisers, we're all tasked with the question, "What to Wear?" I'll let you in on some inside scoop, you don't need to buy a stitch of new clothing: It's all in the accessories. Whether you're in a little black dress and heels at a party, or a crewneck cashmere sweater and trousers for dinner with family and friends, you can add instant -- and EASY -- style by simply putting on a great jewelry piece!

If you're mostly going to be in casual clothes at school parties and at home get-togethers, keep the accessories to what's out of the way of preparing and serving food, corralling children or toting presents. A bold, fabulous set of earrings like Smoky Quartz Entwined Earrings, Silver Snowflake earrings or stunning 18kt Gold Bubble earrings will quickly pull just about any look together. And no need to buy a stitch of new clothing. If you're calendar is filled with mostly parties and events, be the belle of the ball (or New Year gala) in one of Justin Giunta's fashion couture pieces, a Cocotay one of kind vintage piece such as the Disco Ball earrings or Kelacala Q’s Fool’s Gold Ring. Or for a different look try Brooke Gregson’s  Labradorite Bezel Silk necklace along with her Diamond Bar necklace when I wear these pieces together-- everybody asks where I got them(including a well known star stylist).  Any of these pieces will undoubtedly carry you through all you've got on your social calendar. Just add a party dress and heels and you're good to go.  Don't be afraid to mix, pair and match pieces, layer them, go big or keep it subtle.  Once you've got the right jewelry picked out, just about anything you put on can stand out or pull an outfit together. You'll have more time to focus on those other things you need to get  you through this season, like opening gorgeous gifts, shopping for your loved ones , sharing keepsake moments or just taking some downtime in between all the chaos.

If you'd like help selecting jewelry for your holiday outfits, email us at PS@accessoryartists.com.

Say "I Adorn You" with a Holiday Gift At Any Price

November 29, 2010 1:00:03 PM CST

We really never outgrow gifts. We might run out of things we need, and we may learn to curtail our excitement of receiving something cherished from a family member, love or friend. But we all secretly forever love to receive a little special something from time to time. Even better if it comes in a gorgeous, tiny little box and serves as a reminder of one's affections or importance in their life. With the holidays just around the corner, we bet you're already working out your shopping list.

Well nothing says “I Adorn You” like a fabulous piece of jewelry no matter what your budget or  who the gift recipient is. Whether you've got to grab a gift for grandma, your aunt, mom, sister, friend  or spouse you can almost never go wrong with jewelry. It surpasses all ages, generations, styles, tastes and needs. For women, gifts of jewelry become keepsake pieces passed down for generations, like memories themselves.

For moms and grandmothers, a simple (but gorgeous) Amethyst Drop necklace is something she can wear with a favorite sweater, a t-shirt during the summer, or a pretty dress for dinner or a party. A pair of  Smoky Quartz Stud earrings are something she can throw on and virtually never take off again. If you're shopping for a wife or girlfriend, the sky can be the limit so look to things that speak to her unique personality. Is she whimsical and creative? Find a fun play on cherished materials, like our Ametrine Waterfall earrings or Diamond Pave rope bracelet. Your edgy fashionista may love a big, beautiful statement piece such as the Glimmering Tear Drop Labradorite pendant or Sunken Treasure Pearl Necklace. Or, if she's a classic girl keep it sweet and simple with a pair of Gold Etruscan Earrings. For teens and college students, anything with a cool twist or that starts a conversation is going to be cherished (and worn to shreds) for years later --  the hip Ricochet necklace or playful Owl ring. All True Treasures!

My personal favorites for holiday gifts include are Sara's knotted circle necklace and her red Allison earrings (such a bohemian glamour look!), any of Linda Wright's Vintage Steel Cut buckle cuffs as all are one of a kind (or sometimes there is a pair) as they do originate from shoes from the 1800’s, and Sally Kay's fabulous Silver Snowflake Earrings. If you need additional gift ideas, or would like to find out more about ordering a custom created piece or special item, do not hesitate to contact us at ps@AccessoryArtists.com.

Remember! Nothing says “I Adorn you XOXO” like a fabulous piece of bijoux subtle or bold, big or delicate.

Happy Holidays!
Marcy

Welcome to Accessory Artists!

October 11, 2010 1:25:18 AM CDT

My early interest in jewelry began during my childhood, watching my mother and grandmothers collect, cherish and care for their beloved jewelry pieces. Little did they know I'd grow up to become an entrepreneur in the jewelry business. I wonder if my dad and grandfathers, often the givers of many of these precious items, counted it as an investment or just a way to please their wives. As entrepreneurs themselves perhaps my grandfathers wouldn't be at all surprised to learn that I had followed in their foot steps given the family history, as my father also had. But it's memories like this and keepsake items that we all hold onto that inspired me to launch Accessoryartists.com, a virtual jewelry boutique.

While a true jewelry lover appreciates all jewelry for its unique place in our lives, so much of today's jewelry can feel mass market and mass produced. We live in an era of super-size malls and stores. Not only that but it can seem as if it swallows the age-old craft of jewelry making, which dates back to so far and so long ago. In creating Accessory Artists, I wanted to create a destination that recalled this, and offer collections that brought back the intimate and special feelings that are associated with collecting, wearing and treasuring jewelry. I've spent a lifetime seeking designers for my personal wardrobe that were truly emerging, or even under the radar, who had a special talent, vision and drive. Some more established, others not, but always with the goal in mind of creating my own personal style. Today, this is poured into every piece, page and collection carried on Accessory Artists, from Yayoi's branch hoop earring to Alex Dewey’s Asymmetrical Globe necklace and more. We are on a never ending mission as we scour the globe for new and exquisite items, and will continue to add new designers and collections to the boutique as we go along.

Our goal is to expand our carefully edited collection, only as we find collections that we believe reflect the elements of truly wearable art as well as help our most discriminating customers achieve their personal style goals. Our Jewelry Jungle blog is updated on Monday featuring new collections, styling tips and much more, written by myself as well as our team here. If there's something you'd love us to write about, a piece or designer you'd love to share, or if you'd like to just say Hi, feel free to email me at marcy@accessoryartists.com. We're glad you've come by!

Fall in New York is one of the most gorgeous times of the year, like in many parts of the country. I know our shoppers in the warmer climates have no complaints seeing their sunny, warm weather every day but there is just something about the leaves turning and a tiny chill in the air that just warms you up somehow.

Fall trends this year are much tougher and sophisticated than in the year's past. In are edgy leather jackets, chic skinny jeans and dark denim, fun flares, and lots of big, cozy sweaters. It's less about the shoes and bag then previous seasons, with clothing pieces at long last taking center stage. It's one of the best ways for jewelry to shine and make a subtle statement in an outfit. The trick to dressing around fall 2010's key trends is to keep it ultra simple. That doesn't mean boring and it doesn't mean bare -- but clean and subtle.

Layer a few of twig sterling silver bangles on your wrist with a thick shawl collar cardigan and jeans and wear with a pretty ring in a gorgeous stone. Mix up the look with one of my new favorites pieces that mix handwoven silk with metals whether precious metals and stones or vermeil (we'll be carrying these soon!). Or, let your fingers do the talking with a leather jacket and work a fabulous Castle Ring. Fall might be all about the clothes this year -- but that doesn't mean that jewelry will allow itself to be anything but the star of the show.

Interview with Accessory Artists Founder Marcy Roth

October 11, 2010 12:11:14 AM CDT

With our big launch this week, we turn the microphone to Accessory Artist founder Marcy Roth to hear about what's behind the site's jewelry collections.

Style Chat: What motivated you to select the designers and items you carry on Accessory Artists?

Marcy: On the insights as to why I chose the pieces and designers, I really dug far and wide and tried to find designers that had unique collections. So for example if they did a hoop earring such as Yayoi it was done with a twist in this case a branch element look. I sought out designers that are truly emerging or even under the radar but I saw a special talent, vision and drive. Some are more established, but I chose them because they're still very unique. I try to stay away from pieces that are mass produced or that you can find everywhere else. This way what you find here is truly one of a kind and unusual.

Style Chat: What pieces do you love and why?

Marcy: I love all the pieces for different reasons but some of my personal favorites: Sara's knotted circle necklace, her Red Allison Earrings because they have that bohemian glamour look. Alex Dewey's Asymmetrical Globe Necklace and the Gold Entwined Earrings. With Alex's designs what hit home was that you can see the work that goes into them and I really can wear her pieces with any outfit any time of the day. Kerry MacBride's one of a kind Dashing Deer necklace. My mother is an animal lover and big animal and environmental advocate so anything with animals on it has special meaning to me. Any of Ana Cavalheiro's rings because they each mak such a statement for such a small accessory. There are so many more!

Style Chat: What do you look for when you buy jewelry for your own personal collection?

Marcy: When I shop for jewelry, sometimes it's a no-brainer, a piece catches my eye. I know I have to have it and have an explicit idea of exactly how I will wear it. There are times I have to think about it before I push that buy button, especially when it's a substantial investment. But, when I can't stop thinking about it, I know in my heart I have to have it so I go back and grab it. When I buy jewelry for myself, I look at pieces and there is usually something that stops me in my tracks it isn't necessarily something that I can explicitly describe but it is just a feeling. That is often how I buy for myself, and how I would advise other people to select their pieces as well. It's got to be something you love.

Style Chat: What are some of your top jewelry styling tips?

Marcy:  In terms of style tips: I like mixing and matching. Maybe wearing a necklace with vintage brass and metal chains, then throw a pearl necklace of similar length in the mix, and top with a simple 18k gold diamond ring such as Jessica Field's Diamond Lotus Ring and a pair of stud earrings. Or take a vintage necklace and wrap it around your wrist for a really impactful bracelet and even add another one in to the mix. When you put jewelry on I think one statement piece is great and then you fill in with other pieces that compliment that one statement piece to complete an outfit. So for example wearing Kerry's one of a kind Jaded necklace with Eilish's subtle pair of Faceted Smoky Quartz Stud Earrings and then throw on a small ring. And you have a great look.

Style Chat: What are some of the hot jewelry trends at the moment?

Marcy: Pieces that mix silk or leather with metals, whether precious metals and stones or vermeil.  Mixing and matching metals and as always statement rings
